How much do you sleep?

This morning I was discussing time management with my brother. His top priority right now is to master time-management skills.

While I applaud him for being aware of how important it is to manage your time, I said to him jokingly…

Time management skills are great IF you have the time to manage – lol.

What I meant from that is – you have to have the time to manage, right? I mean seriously – if you run out of hours in the day while attempting to balance work, home, and entrepreneur life – well you are left with no time to manage at all!

Unless – of course – you steal more time by sleeping less! That’s what I’ve been doing lately – just staying up later and sleeping less.

Here’s my schedule…

  • From 9pm-5pm, I am an employee in the Healthcare Information Technology field.
  • From 5:30pm – 8pm, I am a mom and a wife.
  • From 9pm – my task is complete, I am an entrepreneur with both online and offline businesses.

So, on that note – I wanted to share this great article with you 🙂

  • Richard Branson sleeps 6 hours.
  • Thomas Edison slept 3 hours.
  • Winston Churchill took didn’t sleep in hours but minutes – he took naps.

Should You Offer Your Kindle Book on Amazon for Free?


Free Book Promotion was a success!


This is a really good question.

I am averaging one sale per day, so I am making money – however, I only had haters reviewing my book.

I read a great blog by Jane Friedman that mentioned some benefits to utilizing Kindle Select to run a Free Promotion Offer with Amazon Kindle Publishing.

Select is a tool, a tactic to help you achieve your goal. But first you need to decide on the goal. Are you aiming for income or exposure?

For me it was actually attempting to get better reviews, which she does mention.

This could lead to more reviews and increased sales of your other books, especially if you created an easy way for them to access the rest of your list via links in the back of the free book.

I even put out a promotion to pay people to get my book for free, read it, and I would pay them $10.

Out of my 120 list of subscribers, I received one review. I am grateful for it and will be reviewing their book now as well.  I think if I had a bigger list, this would have worked very well. I also put the offer on my Facebook page.

I used Kindle Select to run a one day, free promotion offer: Dec 17 @ 7am to Dec 18 at 7am. I didn’t expect what happened.

Here are my realizations (these are “free” sales):

  • 7 sales within 2 hours.
  • 14 sales within 4 hours.
  • 35 sales within 24 hours.
  • Top 20 (top 100 free) in 3 different categories.

Was it worth it?

I say heck yeah! Now 35 new people have downloaded my book and hopefully read it. I have some YouTube video and Bonus links in the book, so hoping people follow me there, too.

So now my next question is…should I drop the price for more sales? I will report on that test next – stay tuned!

Fit To Wealth Challenge – T25 – Week 5 ALPHA

How Do I feel?…

This week (April 28, 2014 – May 4, 2014)…

Ok, still feel very good despite the fact that I missed Friday’s workout. As I have previously noted, I have just bought a new home and we moved all of our furniture and boxes this weekend. So packing and moving this week did interfere 🙁

Ending on a Positive Note…

Although I did miss Friday and couldn’t make up the workout on Saturday either, I stayed where I was (no weight loss or gain) and am still on track.

Sunday (today) instead of doing the STRETCH workout, I did the CARDIO to catch up.

Good news is that I have now officially completed the 5 week ALPHA workout series for T25.

So, 30 days down and 60 to go! Next is Beta 5 Week T25 workout.

How Do I feel?…

This week (April 21, 2014 – April 27, 2014)…

Ok, feel very good. Total lost almost 4 pounds – so about 1 pound per week.

As I have previously noted, I have just bought a new home that is gorgeous but needs a ton of cosmetic work. I have spent this entire week going from work to the new house to paint the floors (see how i did it here).

Since the new house doesn’t have internet yet, I could not access my T25 workouts. So I took my Xoom tablet with me and did Jillian most of the week. The important not here being that I DID NOT stop working out! Yesterday, I was back to my old house and could do the Sunday Stretch exercise.

Ending on a Positive Note…

Although, I was forced to stray away from the T25 Alpha schedule a bit, I did not stop working out. I did Jillian Michael’s 30-Day Shred instead.

Still going strong! I love how the time flies with T25.

This is very little effort in terms of making time, so I’m still there.

How Do I feel?…

This week (April 14, 2014 – April 20, 2014)…

Ok, I feel great! I have seen and felt massive progress.

    • 4/15/14 (Wed): 17 Days later, I could finally keep up with Shaun T! I kept up with about 50% of the work outs – barely did any modifications  for Speed 1.0.
    • 4/16/14 (Thurs): Got to work and caught a glimpse in the mirror and noticed a difference in the way my clothes fit. I look thinner! Interesting fact  is that I am a bit on the bloated side this week, but that didn’t matter?!

I have not strayed away from the T25 Alpha schedule.

Still going strong! I love how the time flies with T25.

How Much Weight Have I Lost?…

I have only lost 2 pounds but that’s 1 pound per week! A great, healthy way to lose
weight to ensure long term maintainance!

I am NOT doubling up on Fridays, since I only have time for one workout. Although,
the first week I did the second workout from Friday (the double session) on Saturday. So the first week, I didn’t take a break.

This week, I didn’t do Saturday T25 workout. I am moving into our new home, so with
moving and running after 4 energetic kids – I have had exercise. I did do Sunday
Stretch Day! I did it in my new poolhouse facing the water in the pond behind the
house. It was so inspiring and peaceful.

The Low Down…

WOW! I am so sore. I actually am limping when I stand up. I have not exercised like this since 2009 (30 Day Shred).

The first week wasn’t bad. There are some positions that remind me of dancing, and I was quickly reminded that I haven’t danced in 10 years.

The Good…

Time really does fly by. Shaun T does a great job motivating you and sticking to the clock on the screen.

Thank goodness Shaun T has a modified version of almost every single move. If you are as out of shape as me, you will need it! It’s very helpful to try his moves first and if you can’t keep up, then switch over to the modified move.

I love the calendar they provide – here is a quick view. You can indicate directly on it if the day’s exercise was hard or if you nailed it. Yup, I’m barely keeping up and still learning the moves.

It was nice to have Saturday off. I like that alot!

Sunday stretch exercise is doable. I could keep up with that mostly.

The Bad…

You can’t always see what the modified version of the move is. It’s a woman doing these moves, and they don’t do a good job keeping the camera on her. So at times, I found myself waiting for her to pop back on the screen. I wish they did a split screen – one showing Shaun T and one showing the lady doing the modified version.

Fridays is not actually just 25 minutes. It’s called a double day, so it’s 2 workouts that day (each 25). I don’t like that, since I don’thave time to do more than 25. Shaun T…you said this was just 25 minutes? But Fridays you want 50 minutes? Come on now…that doesn’t seem right. I only did one and didn’t double up.

I am still very interested and engaged. There are 5 workouts in Alpha and every day it’s something different than the previous day. This is why it keeps things interesting.

Fit To Wealth Challenge – T25

What is T25?

T25 is a BeachBody product with Shaun T. He revised his Insanity workout to help people like me who just don’t like to exercise for long periods of time. I know most people say they don’t have time, but honestly for me – it is the lack of interest in spending that much time exercising.

In a nutshell, this is 25 minute workout plan for those who can’t/won’t do 50 – 60 mins. It’s perfect!

It is slotted to take 90 days of your time.

Overall, here’s the schedule:

  • Monday thru Friday: Exercise hard for 25 minutes.
  • Saturday: Rest and document your progress (weight and body measurements).
  • Sunday: Stretch routine.

There are 3 milestones:

  1. Milestone 1: Alpha Program, 5 weeks.
  2. Milestone 2: Beta Program, 5 weeks.
  3. Milestone 3: Gamma Program, 5 weeks.

That is 15 weeks by 6 actual days of exercise per week is 90 Days. (15 x 6 = 90)

What is my personal plan?

If I start today, I will be done by July 4th weekend. I will use this blog to document this

Why T25?

It’s short and hopefully sweet…lol.

  1. Feel good now.
  2. Look good to fit in old work clothes.
  3. Fibroids: balanced hormones, less estrogen will result in no cramps.
  4. Diverticular Disease: Moving around daily will help digestion issues.
  5. Want my kids to see a fit mom.
  6. Lay by my new pool in my new bathing suit.
  7. Less foggy feeling throughout the day – sharper at work.

What do I expect from completing T25?

  •  Feel as fit as I did when I was a high school athlete (worked out M-F).

Kevin Trudeau in Prison???!!!!


Ok, I’m feeling sad and angry about what I just read.

I first saw Kevin Trudeau on tv information for Mega Memory when I was 12 years old. Do you recall that one? I begged my mom and sold her on the idea that the product worked. We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, but she managed to scrap up the $55 or so to get the 10+ cassette tapes and books. It was the very first time in my life I ordered anything from TV. Did it work? Well, I would say some of it did. It was basically memory techniques to easily recall information. It made sense, but over the years we lost those tapes and I hadn’t heard of Kevin since. I just went on with my life.

Then last summer, on a Law of Attraction resource search, I stumbled across Your Wish is Your Command online. I jumped on YouTube and found the entire 12 audio CDs . I instantly recognized Kevin’s face on YouTube and his voice on the audio and again I was sold. Although, I had already believed in the Law of Attraction…but what Kevin said made a lot of sense. I have listened to these 12 audios at least twice. A lot has changed in my life and part of the reason (I truly believe) is due to Kevin’s Your Wish is Your Command.

  • Get off the couch
  • Be teachable (always!)
  • Stay happy

Now, what is wrong with telling people that?!? Nothing!

So, afterwards I started to follow Kevin and loved his views on natural medicine. Most of his opinions match mine and that of my naturalistic doctor, so I was excited to read his controversial book: The Weight Loss Cure ‘They’ Don’t Want You to Know About.

Today, I find out that this book is the reason why he’s in prison for 10 years? What is going on?

There are so many books on the subject, so why are they bothering Kevin? Well, the government had asked Kevin to give back $37 million of sales he received from this book, but kevin claims he doesn’t have it. Plus, he is standing behind the book’s claims and doesn’t understand why he is being singled out for his naturalistic views.

I was very sorry to hear the US jailed him and perhaps there is a conspiracy or witch hunt here against him. You make your own judgment call.

So I suggest:
